Civil/System Engineering Company to design the prototype of a containerized hybrid PV system

The United Nations Global Service Centre, Brindisi (UNGSC) seeks an appropriately qualified Civil/System Engineering Company to design the prototype of a containerized hybrid PV system (two versions plus transition kit) to complement the diesel generators, meant to minimize the consumption of diesel fuel in various UN operational scenarios.

The appointed Company shall develop the prototype’s complete executive project, complete with necessary drawings, reports, bill of materials along with the required manuals, to supervise the construction works.

The Company shall have a high-level Civil and Electrical Engineering expertise to enable the effective realization of the prototype taking account of a wide range of factors, including cost-effectiveness, suitability of technologies, operational safety and social and environmental factors. Also, the Company shall have Structural and Electrical design capabilities, knowledge and practical experience of relevant international structural and electrical safety legislation and guidance; practical experience of structural and electrical calculation, practice in works supervision, analytical techniques (including cost-benefit analysis), project scoping, design and implementation; knowledge and understanding of developing country environmental challenges; knowledge and understanding of risk assessment methodology, and health, safety and welfare standards pertaining to construction and systems engineering; experience in project management.
