    Item Description:

The International Criminal Court (ICC) investigates and, where warranted, tries individuals charged with the gravest crimes of concern to the international community: genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity and the crime of aggression.

    Citrix Landscape redesign consultancy

Consultants are based in The Netherlands

ICC already has a considerable Citrix footprint, ranging from networking devices (Netscalers) to Xen Desktops.

Citrix is the designated solution for out-of-HQ work, as it provides the necessary security standards for connectivity to the internal systems and data.

On a peak period, there can be 60 sessions running, mostly from users in Field Offices, which are usually characterized by poor internet connectivity and low bandwidth.

The number of golden images is currently set at five with seven production delivery groups. There are also published applications.

We currently run a mix of desktop OS machines and server OS Machines. The current preference is to consolidate all the machines as desktop.

The ICC would consider other proposals which will add value to its Citrix environment, such as the ability to view historical trends, such as user login times, active usage of applications, among others.

The current user base will remain, and there shouldn’t be major changes. The delta will be HQ users which work most of the time on premise, but work on a frequent basis offsite. These users are expected to have a good internet connection with high bandwidth rates.

The number of concurrent users is expected to reach hundreds within few months, and the user community will have the expectation of having a very similar experience when comparing with working on premise.

The landscape should cater, therefore, to these two types of user: 1) User faced with poor internet connectivity; and 2) User within Netherlands (or close) with good internet connectivity. Users connecting from the field location are required to be given priority in license usage, so therefore there would be a need for either a QOS that will guarantee the field staff connectivity or any other solution that can guarantee the same.

We wish to keep the infrastructure resilient, and sized to scale up by additional hundreds at any point in time.
