Augmentation of Ambalangoda 132/33 kV Grid Substation, Augmentation of Pannala 132/33 kV Grid Substation and Supply of 2 Spare Transformers of 132/33 kV 31.5 MVA [Package 8 – Lot B]

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has applied for financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Green Power Development and Energy Efficiency Improvement Investment Program – (Tranche 2). Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

The Ceylon Electricity Board (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the Procurement of Plant – Design, Supply and Install for Package 8 – Lot B consisting of:

• Augmentation of Ambalangoda 132/33 kV Grid Substation and
• Augmentation of Pannala 132/33 kV Grid Substation

Completion period is 548 days.

International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single- Stage, Two Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible countries listed out in Section 5 (Eligible Countries) of the Bidding Document.
