Item Description:
The International Trade Center (ITC) is a joint agency of the United Nations and the World Trade
Organization, dedicated to trade related technical cooperation in developing countries.
ITC is currently executing the project “Linking Businesses of Central American Women with the Handicrafts and Interior Decoration Market”, financed by the European Union (EU). The objective of this project is to improve the export performance of Central American women entrepreneurs for the sale of handicrafts in the European gift and interior decoration market through electronic commerce (e-commerce).
The project covers six Central American beneficiary countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama.
The beneficiaries of the project are women entrepreneurs involved in the sale and export of handicraft items for the gift and interior decoration industry.
El Centro de Comercio Internacional (ITC) es una agencia conjunta de las Naciones Unidas y la Organización Mundial del Comercio para la cooperación técnica relacionada con el comercio en los países en desarrollo.
ITC está ejecutando el proyecto “Vinculando Empresas de Mujeres Centroamericanas con el Mercado de Artesanías y Decoración de Interiores”, financiado por la Unión Europea (UE). El objetivo de este proyecto es mejorar el desempeño exportador de mujeres empresarias centroamericanas para vender artesanías en el mercado europeo de regalos y decoración de interiores a través del comercio electrónico.
El proyecto cubre seis países beneficiarios centroamericanos: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua y Panamá.
Los beneficiarios del proyecto son mujeres empresarias involucradas en la venta y exportación de artículos de artesanías para la industria de regalos y decoración de interiores.
