Civil Works and Hydro-mechanical Equipment

The Government of Nepal has applied for financing in the form of loan (“the loan”) from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) towards the cost of the Tamakoshi V Hydroelectric Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds towards payments under the contract for Contract-1: Civil Works and Hydro-Mechanical Equipment of Tamakoshi V Hydroelectric Project in Dolakha district.

The Tamakoshi Jalvidhyut Company Limited (TKJVC) intends to prequalify contractors for Contract-1: Civil Works and Hydro-Mechanical Equipment of Tamakoshi V Hydroelectric Project in Dolakha district. It is expected that the Request for Bid will be made by end of 2019.

Prequalification will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the AIIB’s Interim Operational Directives on Procurement Instructions for Recipient (PIR) 2016 and is open to all eligible Applicants as defined in the PIR.

Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information form the TKJVC. A complete set of Prequalification Documents in English may be purchased till 27th February 2019 by interested Applicants on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of nonrefundable cash deposit of NRs.20, 000 (Nepalese Rupees twenty thousand) or equivalent amount in favor of TKJVC in Nabil Bank Limited, Durbarmarg, Kathmandu, Account No.: 9701017500087 or wire transfer. Wire transfer should include the amount and currency equivalent to the cost of Document as indicated above and applicable mailing/shipping charges of US $200 (US dollar two hundred) in favor of TKJVC. TKJVC will promptly dispatch the documents by registered airmail, but under no circumstances can it be held responsible for late delivery or loss of the documents so mailed to the applicant.

Applications for prequalification along with one (1) original set; one (1) duplicate (One copy in hardcopy and another copy in USB drive as softcopy.) sets of Prequalification Documents having signed and stamped on each page by authorized personnel should be submitted in clearly marked envelopes and delivered to the address below by 12:00 hours (Nepal Standard time (NST)) on 28th February 2019. Applications will be opened on the same day at 14:00 hours (NST) at the office of TKJVC. In case, the last date for purchase or submission falls on a company holiday then the next working day shall be considered as the last day for purchase and the following working day after date of purchase shall be considered as last submission date. Late applications for submission shall be rejected.

Note:

1. Those who has already bought the Pre-Qualification Document (PQ) may obtain the amended PQ document free of charge.
2. Those who already submitted PQ document will have the choice to get back the submitted PQ proposal and re-submit the PQ or retain their submitted PQ proposal as it is.
