    Item Description:

    The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) or Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) is a multilateral development finance institution. The AfDB was founded in 1964 and comprises three entities: The African Development Bank, the African Development Fund and the Nigeria Trust Fund. The AfDB’s mission is to fight poverty and improve living conditions on the continent through promoting the investment of public and private capital in projects and programs that are likely to contribute to the economic and social development of the region. The AfDB is a financial provider to African governments and private companies investing in the regional member countries (RMC).

    Invitation for Bids [IFB]

    The Government of the Republic of Mozambique has received financing from the African Development Fund hereinafter called the Bank toward the cost of the UniLúrio – Support Skills Development for Agriculture and Industry Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Construction of Laboratory Complex Buildings at UniLúrio Campuses of Pemba and Unango. For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the Bank’sDisbursement Guidelines and procedures for Investment Project Financing.

    The UniLúrio – Universidade Lúrio now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Construction Works of Laboratory Complex Buildings at UniLúrio Campuses of Pemba and Unango, divided in the following Lots:

    Lot I – Construction of Laboratory Building at UniLurio Campus in Pemba; Lot II – Construction of Laboratory Building at UniLurio Campus in Unango

    The construction period is estimated in 12 months for each site.

    Bidding will be conducted through the Open Competitive Bidding (National), OCBN procedures as specified in the Bank’s Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations” dated October 2015, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Framework.

    Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Universidade de Lúrio – Unilurio, by email: jsalavessa@unilurio.ac.mz and ugea@unilurio.ac.mz and inspect the bidding document during office hours 09h00 to 15h30 hours at the address given below.

    The bidding document in English may be obtained free of charges by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below. The bidding document will be sent by e-mail in pdf.
