Construction of Pingshan Reservoir Spillway Tunnel and Emptying Tunnel

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

The People’s Republic of China has received financing from the Asian Development Bank toward the cost of Guizhou Rocky Desertification Area Water Management Project. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.

The Nayong Pingshan Reservoir Management Office (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for Pingshan Reservoir Spillway Tunnel and Emptying Tunnel Construction (the Works). The construction comprises: Spillway Tunnel, Emptying Tunnel, Permanent Traffic Engineering, T emporary Construction, Building Construction, Power Supply Facility Engineering, Electromechanical Equipment Installation (except the Automatic Water Regime Measuring and Forecasting System, the External Observation Equipment, and the Traffic Equipment), Metal Structure Equipment Installation of Hydro-junction (except the Water Diversion Area), Soil and Water Conservation and Environmental Protection project.

Construction period is 40 months from contract signing date.

National Competitive Bidding (NCB) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single- Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document.
