Construction of road sections

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

Invitation for Bids

The Social Republic of Vietnam has received financing from the ADB toward the cost of the Northern Mountain Provinces Transport Connectivity Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds towards payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

The Project Management Unit 2 under Ministry of Transport invites e-bids from eligible Bidders for the construction and completion of the Works as broadly described above.

The scope of works for this contract package CW-08 consists of the improvement and realignment (road formation is 9m and road width is 6m) of two road sections, part of the road connecting Lai Chau to Noi-Bai-Lao Cai Expressway.

• Section 1: From Km 128+040 to Km137+040 in Lai Chau province; and
• Section 2: From Km137+960 to Km146+540 in Lai Chau province.
• Total Length: 18.082km (located in Tam Duong district and Lai Chau City, Lai Chau province)

There is one (1) bridge on this package: New construction of a bridge (Nam Hon bridge) on the realigned section (Km133+480.00 – Km133+129.22) with length of 107m.

National Open Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with Single- Stage: One-Envelope procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document.
