Construction, Operations and Maintenance of Water Supply and Sanitation Project

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

The Government of Nepal has received a financing from the ADB toward the cost of Urban Water Supply and Sanitation (Sector) Project (UWSSP). Part of this financing will be used payments under the contracts named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

The Project Management Office, Urban Water Supply and Sanitation (Sector) Project (UWSSP), Department of Water Supply and Sewerage Management, Ministry of Water Supply(“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders, based on post- qualification criteria, for the scope of works described hereunder:

• Stage 1: Deep Tube wells, Pressure filter, Guard Houses, Office Building, Over Head Tank, Valve Chambers, Pipe and fittings procurement and laying, Khola crossing of pipe lines, Fire Hydrant, Lab establishment, HH connections. The construction period is two year (2) from the date of issuing of the work order.
• Stage 2: Operations and Maintenance of the Water Supply and Sanitation Component is one (1) year.

Open competitive bidding (OCB) – International advertisement will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: Two-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document.
