Consultancy for Capacity Building in Competition, Public Procurement and Customs and Trade Facilitation

Item Description:

The European Commission is an institution of the European Union, responsible for proposing legislation, implementing decisions, upholding the EU treaties and managing the day-to-day business of the EU.

The European Commission, DG for International Partnerships (INTPA), is planning to award the contract resulting from the above procurement procedure. The procurement documents consist of the invitation letter. All documents are available in the attached ZIP File.

Subject of the contract

The subject of the contract is the Delivery of training in the areas of Competition, Public Procurement and Customs and Trade Facilitation. The training must address the use of virtual technology in Competition, Public Procurement and Customs and Trade Facilitation and an examination of critical issues in operating Competition, Public Procurement and Customs and Trade Facilitation regimes.

The expected outputs of this contract are as follows:

1. Output 1. A Cadre of key CARIFORUM Stakeholders is trained in Competition, Public Procurement, and Customs and Trade Facilitation.
2. Output 2. CARIFORUM nationals certified in Competition, Public Procurement, and Customs and Trade Facilitation at primary, intermediary and postgraduate level.
3. Output 3. At least four (4) persons from each CARIFORUM State sensitised on the EPA commitments of the Parties and the opportunities and benefits under the EPA in relation to each of the following – Competition, Public Procurement, and Customs and Trade Facilitation.
