Item Description:
The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) or Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) is a multilateral development finance institution. The AfDB was founded in 1964 and comprises three entities: The African Development Bank, the African Development Fund and the Nigeria Trust Fund. The AfDB’s mission is to fight poverty and improve living conditions on the continent through promoting the investment of public and private capital in projects and programs that are likely to contribute to the economic and social development of the region. The AfDB is a financial provider to African governments and private companies investing in the regional member countries (RMC).
Request for Expressions of interest
The Government of Uganda has received financing from the African Development Fund (ADF) towards the cost of the Strategic Towns Water Supply and Sanitation Project (STWSSP). It is intended that part of the agreed amounts of these funds will be used for payments under a contract for consultancy services for production of the Water and Sanitation Atlas covering the districts under the 10 towns covered under the STWSSP project thus Kyenjojo, Katooke, Nakasongola, Kayunga, Busana, Kamuli, Kapchworwa, Dokolo, Bundibugyo and Buikwe indicated in the table below:

The Ministry of Water and Environment now invites consultants (firms) to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. Consultants may constitute joint ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations Approved in October 2015, and available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
Interested consultants may obtain further information at the address below during office hours (0900 to 1700 hours).
Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below by 10th September 2020 at 11:00 a.m. (local time) and mention the Procurement Reference Number and Subject of Procurement indicated in the table above.
