Consulting Services For Analysis Of The Energy Storage Systems

Item Description:

The Republic of Turkey has been allocated grantfunds from the European Union Instrumentfor Pre-Accession Trust Fundwhich are administered by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and executedby the General Directorate of Foreign Relations and EU of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (MENR). MENR intends toapply the funds to eligible payments under the contract for Consulting Services for Analysis of the Energy Storage Systems underIPA 2013 Energy Sector Program Phase-2.

The scope of the consulting services (“the Services”) will include carrying out aneeds assessmentto analyze options in the use of large energy storage systems for ancillary sevices in power system . In thisregard, The Consultant is expected to conduct relevant preparatory studies (needs assessment, feasibility study, best practicesstudy etc.) for the improvement of electricity supply security and system stability by utilizing energy storagesystems in powergrid. The duration of services is envisaged as 9 months.
