Item Description:
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.
ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.
The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has applied for financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Railway Efficiency Improvement Project (REIP). Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.
The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation/Sri Lanka Railways (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Design and Construction of Operating Head Quarters and Train Control Center.
The Works include:
- Design and preparation of drawings of the Train Control Center building and all other related works
- Provision of Facilities for the Engineer/Employer
- Site Clearing and Earth W orks
- Construction of the Train Control Centre Building with utility services
- Provision of all facilities such as networking, communication, security system etc.
- Installation of Air-conditioning, fire detection & Protection systems, Standby
- Generators
- Landscaping and external works.
International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with Single-Stage: Two-Envelope (1S2E) bidding procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible countries as described in the bidding document.
