Item Description:
The United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) intends to conduct a competitive solicitation exercise for the design, construction, commissioning and testing of solar farms at the following UNFICYP locations:
a. Observation Post 32 (OP32), located within UNFICYP Sector 1 of the buffer zone, near Peristerona Village. The yearly consumption of the site is approx. 62,000 kWh per year.
b. Observation Post 91 (OP91), located in UNFICYP Sector 4 of the buffer zone, south-east of Nicosia, near Geri Village. The yearly consumption of the site is approx. 46,000 kWh per year.
The Contractor shall perform the services in three (3) consecutive tasks, Task 1: Study and Executive Design, Task 2: Supply and Installation and Task 3: Commissioning and Testing. The minimum objective is to design and install on-grid PV systems with a minimum capacity of 30 KiloWatt-peak in OP32 and 20 KiloWatt-peak in OP91.
Interested vendors shall have the opportunity to attend the mandatory site visit, as part of the solicitation exercise. The Contract is anticipated to commence during the first quarter of 2023.
In this regard, UNFICYP would like to identify vendors that would be interested to participate in the competitive solicitation exercise. Qualified vendors are requested to express their interest by submitting the Vendor Response Form of this EOI electronically (through the link provided below) before the closing date above.
In case you have difficulties submitting your interest electronically, please contact Ms. Stacey Worthington via email to unficyp-procurement@un.org, no later than Friday, 09 September 2022. The Vendor Response Form is also available in our website http://www.unficyp.org.
UNFICYP reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant participation in the competitive bidding exercise. UNFICYP reserves the right to change or cancel any of these requirements at any time during the EOI and/or the solicitation process. Please note that Vendors have to be registered at Level 1 at the time of the award.
The UNGM registration is mandatory for responding to this EOI. Interested vendors are strongly recommended to submit the required documentation at the United Nations Global Marketplace at http://www.ungm.org for Level 1 registration. Information on the prerequisites for Basic and Level 1 registration can be found at https://www.ungm.org/Public/Pages/RegistrationProcess.
