Design, installation and commissioning of Solar Farm, BESS, Substation and SCADA

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

The Government of Nauru has applied for financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of the Nauru Solar Power Development Project (NSPDP). Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from ADB developed member countries that have contributed to ADF twelve (12) resources [https://www.adb.org/site/funds/adf] and all ADB developing member countries.

The Nauru Utilities Corporation (NUC) (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the design, installation and commissioning of:

• a 6 MW (nominal installed AC capacity) Solar Farm;
• a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with a capacity of 2.5 MWh / 5 MW; and
• an 11 kV Substation, including all switchgear, power transformers and connection to the existing NUC 11 kV distribution system.

International Competitive Bidding (ICB) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from ADB developed member countries that have contributed to ADF twelve (12) resources [https://www.adb.org/site/funds/adf] and all ADB developing member countries.
