Item Description:
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.
ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.
Invitation for Bids
The Government of India has applied for financing from the ADB toward the cost of Rajasthan State Highway Investment Program Tranche 3. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the Contract named above. The details of the contract package are given below. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible member countries of ADB.
Package No. RSHIP/ADB/T-3/EPC/03: Development & Maintenance of Kherli-Nadbai-Kumher section of SH-44 (length: from km 72.000 at Kherli to km 110.600 at Kumher) total length 38.600 km in the State of Rajasthan on Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) Mode.
Rajasthan (“the Employer”) invites online bids from eligible Bidders for the above-mentioned contract package. A few key qualification criteria are listed below and details can be found in the relevant sections of the Request for Proposal.
(i) Technical Capacity: the Bidder, shall have participated in at least one (1) contract that has been successfully or substantially completed within the last five (5) years and that is similar to the proposed works, where the value of the Bidder’s participation exceeds INR 69.19 Crore. Experience of designing and constructing at least 40 km of road of 2 lane or equivalent 2 lane considering one lane or intermediate lane acceptable and experience of designing and constructing at least 10 m long minor bridge.
(ii) Maintenance Experience: the Bidder shall have experience of maintenance of road of minimum two projects, each project having minimum length of 15.440 km two lane or equivalent two lane considering one lane or intermediate lane acceptable.
(iii) Annual Average Construction Turnover: the Bidder shall have minimum average annual construction turnover of INR 138.38 Crores calculated as total certified payments received for contracts in progress or completed, within the last five (5) years.
(iv) Financial Resources: the Bidder must demonstrate that its financial resources meet or exceed the total requirement for the subject contract of Rs. 23.06 Crore.
National Competitive Bidding (NCB) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: Two-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document.
