Item Description:
The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) or Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) is a multilateral development finance institution. The AfDB was founded in 1964 and comprises three entities: The African Development Bank, the African Development Fund and the Nigeria Trust Fund. The AfDB’s mission is to fight poverty and improve living conditions on the continent through promoting the investment of public and private capital in projects and programs that are likely to contribute to the economic and social development of the region. The AfDB is a financial provider to African governments and private companies investing in the regional member countries (RMC).
Invitation for Bids [IFB]
The Republic of Sudan has received Financing from the African Development Fund hereinafter called the Bank in various currencies towards the cost of Building Capacity for Inclusive Service Delivery Project (BCISD) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for procurement of CT Scan Machine. For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines and procedures for Investment Project Financing, except for those payments, which the contract provides to be made through letter of credit.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Development now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Supply, Installation, and Commissioning of one (1) unit of CT Scan Machine for Kosti Hospital in White Nile State and the provision of relevant Trainings.
Bidding will be conducted through the Open Competitive Bidding (International), (OCBI) method as specified in the Bank’s Procurement Framework [Procurement Policy for Bank-Group Funded Operations, dated October 2015, and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Framework.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents during office hours Sunday to Thursday from 0900 to 1600 hours (Sudan Time) at the address given at the end of this IFB.
The bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non- refundable fee of Euro 100 or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency.
Bids must be delivered to the address stated at the end of this IFB on or before 01:00 PM (Sudan Time) on Tuesday 20 July 2021. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address stated at the end of this IFB on 01:00 PM (Sudan Time) on Tuesday 20 July 2021.
All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of EURO 15,000 or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency.
