Development of an Innovative IT Tool to Make ESA2010 an Interactive Experience (Phase 2)

Item Description:

The European System of Accounts (ESA 2010 hereafter) is the current EU accounting framework for a systematic and detailed description of an economy at national and regional level. The ESA 2010 was published in the Official Journal on 26 June 2013. It was implemented in September 2014; from that date onwards the data transmission from Member States to Eurostat follows ESA 2010 rules. The ESA 2010 structure is consistent with the worldwide guidelines on national accounting set out in the System of National Accounts 2008 (SNA 2008).

General information and objectives

The objective of the contract is further develop a digital tool that will allow users to browse within ESA 2010 and between ESA 2010 and related relevant publications ‘from law to guidance’. The tool will reproduce the whole ESA 2010, including the transmission programme.
