Engineering, Procurement and Construction of 20MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Pilot Project At 220/132kV Jhimpir- 1 Substation

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

The Islamic Republic of Pakistan has received financing from the ADB toward the cost of Second Power Transmission Enhancement Investment Program – Tranche 3. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract named above. No nationality restrictions apply, other than any restrictions arising from ITB 4.8.

The National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC, “the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction of 20MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Pilot Project At 220/132kV Jhimpir-1 Substation. The works mainly include design, manufacturing, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, and completion of works and services at turnkey basis, as detailed and specified in the Bidding Documents. The Time for Completion of the whole of the Facilities shall be 480 days from the Effective Date as described in the Contract Agreement.

International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single- Stage: Two-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all bidders without nationality restrictions.
