EOI – Ethiopie – Consulting Service – Design Review, Construction Supervision and Contract Administration for Gode Town Water Supply and Sanitation Improvement Project

Item Description:

The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received finance from the African Development Bank towards the cost of Four Towns Water Supply and Sanitation Improvement Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to make payments under the contract for the cost of consultancy services for the design review, construction supervision and contract administration of Gode Towns Water Supply and Sanitation Improvement Project.
The services included under this project but not limited to be:
- Review and prepare detail design for the town water supply system and sanitation facilities with updated detailed business plan.
– Carry out comprehensive review of existing documents on the water sources of the area and propose the most reliable sources. Review and update all the study and design documents.
– Review the existing water supply and sanitation system of the town and establishing reliable data base for it.
– Reviewing and updating existing water supply structure used in line with new water supply components or integrates the new water supply system with existing water supply system.
– Conduct environmental and social impact assessment, and Prepare separate ESIA document.
– Preparation of updated performance agreement (for water utility and the Water board)
– Review and prepare different working manuals consistent with the newly proposed water supply and sanitation system.
– Carry out on job training for knowledge transfer between consultant and the client.
– Prepare all the necessary tender documents for procurement.
– Asses the town management status and its capacity; undertake required capacity building activities to fill all the existing gaps.
– Undertake contract administration and construction supervision of the project.

The Ethiopian Somali Regional State Gode Town Water Supply and Sanitation Enterprise now invite eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar projects/ conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants” May 2008 Edition, Revised July 2012, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.

Consultants will be selected using Quality and Cost Based selection (QCBS) method. Interested consultants may obtain further information at the address below during office hours: from 08:30 to 12:30 hours and from 13:30 to 17:30 hours (local time), Mondays to Thursdays and 08:30 to 11:30 and 13:30 to 17:30 (local time) on Fridays.
