Feasibility Study and Capacity Building for the Use of renewable Energy for Pumping Irrigation Water

The African Development Bank Group (the Bank) has been supporting the Government of Egypt in its development efforts. A Grant of UAC 800 000 was approved in 2015 to finance the project ‘Feasibility Study and Capacity Building for the Use of renewable Energy for Pumping Irrigation Water’. The goal of the study is to assess the feasibility of using Renewable Energy (RE) in pumping irrigation water for sustainable agriculture and to combat climate change.

The Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation intend to recruit an auditor for the review of the financial statements of the Project. In planning, conducting and reporting on the review, the auditor will follow the International Standard on Review Engagement ISRE 2400 of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC). The term ‘Practitioner’ in these Terms of Reference refers to the auditor.

The services required under this project include preparing your proposal for an annual financial review of project accounts, according to generally accepted international auditing standards. The audit period covers from 21 May 2015 until 31 December 2020.

The Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint- ventures to enhance their chances of qualification. Consultants Must have at least one similar assignment during the last five years.

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants” dated May 2008 and revised July 2012, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
