Item Description:
The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) or Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) is a multilateral development finance institution. The AfDB was founded in 1964 and comprises three entities: The African Development Bank, the African Development Fund and the Nigeria Trust Fund. The AfDB’s mission is to fight poverty and improve living conditions on the continent through promoting the investment of public and private capital in projects and programs that are likely to contribute to the economic and social development of the region. The AfDB is a financial provider to African governments and private companies investing in the regional member countries (RMC).
Invitation for Bids [IFB]
The Government of the Republic of the Sudan (GoS) has received financing from the African Development Fund, hereinafter called the Bank toward the cost of the Institutional Capacity Building for Improved Access to Water and Sanitation in Port Sudan, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Installation of New Chlorination System.
The Drinking Water and Sanitation Unit (DWSU) & Red Sea State Water Corporation (RSSWC) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Installation of New Chlorination System. This to be constructed through a period of one year in the Port Sudan City.
Bidding will be conducted through Open Competitive Bidding (International), OCBI procedures as specified in the Bank’s Procurement Policy for Bank Funded Operation, dated October 2015 and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Framework.
Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Institutional Capacity Building for Improved Access to Water and Sanitation in Port Sudan Project Implementation Unit (PIU), and inspect the Bidding Document during office hours 08h00 to 16h00 Sunday to Thursday at the address given below:
The bidding document in English may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non- refundable fee of SDG 20,000 or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency.
Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 13h00 (local time Khartoum, Sudan) on Thursday 10 February 2022. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on Thursday 10 February 2022 at 13h00 (local time Khartoum, Sudan).
All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of EURO 13,000 or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency.
