Item Description:

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) was created by the United Nations General Assembly on 11 December 1946, to provide emergency food and healthcare to children in countries that had been devastated by World War II. In 1950, UNICEF’s mandate was extended to address the long-term needs of children and women in developing countries everywhere. In 1953 it became a permanent part of the United Nations System, and the words “international” and “emergency” were dropped from the organization’s name, making it simply the United Nations Children’s Fund, retaining the original acronym, “UNICEF”.

Offers received in any other manner will be invalidated. 

**Please note that the suppliers are not required to provide samples initially. The firms that are shortlisted at the stage of financial evaluation will be asked to provide samples for all of the supplies on the list at a date that will be specified later.

Important Notes:

• The manufacturers of the blankets are encouraged to participate in this tender.
• Price proposals will be submitted in US Dollar and VAT Excluded.
• Price proposals will be submitted in hardcopy, signed and stamped by using the attached price proposal template. Bid form in the ITB document (page 3) shall be filled in, duly signed and attached to the price proposal.
• All bidders which will participate in the tender must register and create a vendor profile in the UNGM website: http://www.ungm.org
