Item Description:

Procurement of the construction tools, OSH gears and Covid 19 PPEs: The lockdown measures implemented by the Government in Nepal  has limited the spread of contamination by COVID-19, but it has had an adverse effect on people with limited income and livelihood opportunities, many not covered by social safety nets, as well as exacerbating existing vulnerabilities. The UN Joint Project “Immediate UN Response for coherent safeguarding the livelihoods of people made most vulnerable by COVID-19 in Nepal” contributes to government’s early recovery efforts. The major interventions include safeguarding basic needs, livelihoods and financial security of mostly women informal sector workers, internal migrants and migrant workers returning from abroad, and women’s cooperatives; extending cash for work for vulnerable workers affected by COVID-19 measures, including migrants, women, Dalits, and workers in the tourism sector; and  providing short-term vocational and skill trainings for vulnerable community members affected by COVID-19 measures, including migrants, women, and Dalits.

In order to ensure the Occupational Safety and Health of the workers in general and specific to COVID context, ILO aims to purchase necessary construction tools, OSH gears and Covid 19 PPE for the Road Maintenance Group-RMG workers in 18 districts of Provice 2 and 5. In this regards, ILO Country Office for Nepal calls for bid from prospective bidders who can meet the following criteria:

1. Considering the urgency for early recovery, successful bidder should be able to provide the listed items by 2^nd week of August 2020.
2. Successful bidder should be able to transport items to 18 districts in Province 2 and 5.
3. Quality as per the specifications

1. Kindly confirm the delivery time to the concern destination by 2^nd week of August 2020
2. Quotes to be provided as per the specifications.
3. Number of quantity or items can be changed.
4. Bids may not be modified once it is submitted.
