The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) or Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) is a multilateral development finance institution. The AfDB was founded in 1964 and comprises three entities: The African Development Bank, the African Development Fund and the Nigeria Trust Fund. The AfDB’s mission is to fight poverty and improve living conditions on the continent through promoting the investment of public and private capital in projects and programs that are likely to contribute to the economic and social development of the region. The AfDB is a financial provider to African governments and private companies investing in the regional member countries (RMC).

The Rwanda Energy Group/Energy Development Corporation Ltd has received Financing from the African Development Bank in various currencies towards the cost of Rwanda Transmission System Reinforcement and Last Mile Connectivity (TSRLMC) Project. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for Procurement of Design, Supply, and Installation of Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Lines and Service Connections in RUHANGO, NYANZA, HUYE, GISAGARA, NYAMAGABE, NYARUGURU Districts, in Southern Province.
The Energy Development Corporation Ltd now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the execution of the works of Procurement of Design, Supply, and Installation of Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Lines and Service Connections in RUHANGO, NYANZA, HUYE, GISAGARA, NYAMAGABE, NYARUGURU Districts, in Southern Province:
- Lot 1: Electrification of Byimana, Kinazi, Mbuye, Bweramana, Kabagari, Kinihira, Mwendo, Ntongwe and Ruhango sectors (RUHANGO District) and Cyabakamyi, Mukingo, Muyira, Ntyazo, Nyagisozi, Busoro, Kibilizi, Ntyazo, Busasamana, Kigoma, Muyira and Rwabicuma sectors (NYANZA District)
- Lot 2: Electrification of Gishamvu, Karama, Mukura, Ngoma, Tumba, Huye, Kigoma, Maraba, Mbazi, Ruhashya, Rusatira, Kinazi and Rwaniro sectors (HUYE District) and Gikonko, Gishubi, Kansi, Kibirizi, Kigembe, Mamba, Muganza, Mugombwa, Mukindo, Musha, Ndora, Nyanza and Save sectors (GISAGARA District)
- Lot 3: Electrification of Cyanika, Gasaka, Gatare, Kaduha, Kamegeri, Kibilizi, Kibumbwe, Mbazi, Mugano, Musange, Nkomane, Kitabi and Uwinkingi sectors (NYAMAGABE District) and Busanze, Cyahinda, Kibeho, Kivu, Mata, Muganza, Munini, Nyabimata, Nyagisozi, Ruheru and Ruramba sectors (NYARUGURU District)
