Procurement of Excavators

This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this Project that appeared in UNDB online and the African Development Bank website on 17th February 2016 and the New Vision and Daily Monitor on Thursday 25th February 2016.

The Government of Uganda has received financing from the African Development Bank toward the cost of the Farm Income Enhancement and Forestry Conservation Programme -Project-2 (FIEFOC-2). It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for Supply of Excavators for Periodic Maintenance of Irrigation Schemes.

The Ministry of Water and Environment now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for supply of two (2) Hydraulic Excavators and five (5) Back Hoe Excavators for Periodic Maintenance of Irrigation Schemes.

A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested bidders upon submission of written application to the above address and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 100,000. The money will be paid to the bank with the bank slips obtained from the Ministry of Water and Environment Accounts Section. No cash will be accepted.

The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the Provisions of the African Development Bank’s Standard Bidding Document for Procurement of Goods

Bids must be delivered to the Procurement and Disposal Unit, Ministry of Water and Environment Kabalega Crescent, Luzira, Kampala on or before 11:00 am on 5th May 2020 and must be accompanied by a bid security in form of a bank guarantee worth Lot 1: UGX 60,000,000 and Lot 2: UGX 76,000,000 or equivalent in freely convertible currency.

Bids must remain valid for 120 days after the deadline for submission prescribed above.

Bids will be opened in presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 11:30 am on 5th May 2020, at Procurement and Disposal Unit, Ministry of Water and environment Kabalega Crescent, Luzira, Kampala.
