Item Description:
This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in the United Nations Development Business online (UNDB online) No. AFDB495- 07/14 of 24th July 2014 and on the African Development Bank Group’s Internet Website (www.afdb.org) on 30th July 2014.
The Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, Government of the Republic of Zimbabwe has received a grant from the Zimbabwe Multi-Donor Trust Fund (Zim-Fund) administered by the African Development Bank towards the cost of the Emergency Power Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project Phase II (EPIRPII), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to payments for:Contract Ref: EPIRPII/010B Procurement of Materials and Equipment for Stamford, Hillside, and Forestvale Substations in Zimbabwe.
The Ministry of Finance and Economic Development has appointed Crown Agents Limited (Crown Agents) to act as its’ Procurement Agent. Crown Agents now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of goods comprising:
- Lot 1: Supply of 33kV equipment for Stamford Substation
- Lot 2: Supply of 11kV switchgear for Forestvale Substation
- Lot 3: Supply of 11kV Switchgear for Hillside Substation
Bidders may bid for Lot 1 and/or Lot 2 and/or Lot 3.
A complete set of bidding documents may be obtained by interested bidders on the submission of a written application (with the name and full address of the applicant) to the email address zimfundpa@crownagents.co.uk. No fee is due. The bidding documents will only be available electronically.
The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the African Development Bank Standard Bidding Document: Procurement of Goods or Procurement of Works and the Operations Manual of the Zim-Fund. Bidding shall be by International Competitive Bidding (ICB).
Bids must be delivered to the office at SCS Tender Box, Crown Agents Limited, Blue Fin Building, 110 Southwark Street London, SE1 OSU, United Kingdom on or before 13.30 hours (GMT) on 7 January 2020 and must be accompanied by a security of USD6,000.00 (Six thousand United Stated Dollars) for Lot 1 and USD 12,000.00 (Twelve thousand United States Dollars) for Lot 2 and USD6,000 (Six thousand United States Dollars) for Lot 3. Bids sent electronically will not be accepted.
Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 14.30 hours (GMT) on 7 January 2020 at the address at SCS Tender Box, Crown Agents Limited, Blue Fin Building, 110 Southwark Street London, SE1 OSU, United Kingdom. The bid opening will be transmitted live to the offices of the Zim-Fund at the following address:
