Procurement of Plant – Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of 220kV Overhead and Underground Transmission Lines (Lot-I and Lot-II)

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

The Islamic Republic of Pakistan has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Second Power Transmission Enhancement Investment – Tranche 3. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

The National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC) (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the following works and services (“the Facilities”):

• Lot-I: Procurement of Plant – Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of following 220kV T/Lines:
  • Part-I 220kV D/C Twin Bundle T/Line from Sheikhupura G/S to Bund Road G/S (28 kms Rail Conductor OHTL)
  • Part-II Replacement of Conductor on Faulty Portion of 220kV D/C Single Conductor T/Line from Gatti G/S to Bandala G/S (5kms Rail Conductor OHTL)
• Lot-II: Procurement of Plant – Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of 220kV D/C Twin Bundle T/Line from Bund Road G/S to NKLP G/S
  • Part-I 220kV Double Circuit on twin bundle ACSR “Rail” conductor overhead transmission line on steel poles (approx. 5km)
  • Part-II 220kV Underground Transmission Line (approx. 10km)

The works mainly include design, manufacturing, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning and completion of works and services on turnkey basis, as detailed and specified in the Bidding Document.

Bidders may bid for one or more than one Lot/s, as further defined in the Bidding Document. Bidders wishing to offer discounts in case they are awarded more than one contract will be allowed to do so provided those discounts are included in the Letter of Bid.
