Provision of Catering Services to FAO in the Caribbean

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is an intergovernmental organization with more than 194 member countries. Since its inception, FAO has worked to alleviate poverty and hunger by promoting agricultural development, improved nutrition and the pursuit of food security – defined as the access of all people at all times to the food they need for an active and healthy life.

To achieve its goals, FAO cooperates with thousands of partners worldwide, from farmers’ groups to sellers, from non-governmental organizations to other UN agencies, from development banks to agribusiness firms (further and more detailed information on FAO can be found on the internet site: http://www.fao.org).

FAO intends to enter into a Long-Term Agreement (LTA) with the companies providing the best value for the money for the provision of Catering & Food Delivery Services, for an initial period of one (1) year renewable for two (2) additional years, subject to Contractor’s performance. An LTA is a written contract between a Contractor (business, company or firm) and FAO, that is established for specific goods or services at prescribed prices or pricing provisions against which specific purchase orders can be placed at any time during the defined period and with no legal obligation to order any minimum or maximum quantity. If agreed by FAO and the Contractor, the LTA can be used by other Agencies, Funds or Programmes of the United Nations (UN) Provision of Catering Services to FAO in the Caribbean:- Barbados Antigua and Barbuda Dominica Grenada St. Kitts and Nevis Saint Lucia Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Belize Jamaica
