Item Description:
The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (hereafter referred to as the “UNECA”) through this Expression of Interest (EOI), seeks to search for a potential vendor with qualification to provider to courier service for the outgoing and incoming mails and publications from UNECA headquarters and to the final destinations.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS / INFORMATION (IF ANY)
Provide pickup and drop up services of the outgoing and incoming mails and publications from and to the Registry located in UNECA Headquarters, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The service shall be provided between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. five (5) days per week, Monday through Friday, including holidays. The vendor shall also offer those services whenever required beyond working hours during weekdays and holidays and from other locations upon request. Complete Airway Bill, provide freight forwarding services, highlight on its IATA Airway Bill, manifest and master Airway Bill that the contents contain materials and or mail to avoid customs delays at final destinations.
Supervise the personnel to ensure smooth movement of the mail shipments; provide extra personnel and vehicles with lockable metal-bodied with a suitable roller to process heavy shipments, if needed, upon request by the UNECA. (Other relevant information will be stated in the RFP document).
