Provision of Customs Clearance and Freight Forwarding Transportation and Related Services, in Support of UNVMC

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS / INFORMATION (IF ANY)

This requirement will involve the identification of a licensed, qualified, certified, and well-established contractor to customs clear all UNVMC shipments in accordance with best commercial practices. In particular, the contractor will be responsible for the following:

a. The contractor will be required to perform work(s) and/or provide service(s) within an Integrated Logistics Concept. This implies that the contractor may perform all or part of a task, while UNVMC and/or others authorized and designated by UNVMC, may perform other tasks.

b. The contractor shall be responsible for the receipt, storage, handling, and customs clearance of UNVMC shipments arriving/departing to/from any entry/exit point in Colombia.

c. The services to be provided by the contractor at the entry/exit points in Colombia shall include freight and cargo handling, customs documentation and clearance, warehousing/storage of shipments, stuffing/un- stuffing of containers, packing or re-packing of cargo/consignments, use/lease of equipment; forklifts, cranes, trucks and any other equipment required for loading/offloading or delivery operations as and when needed.
