Item Description:
United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON), hereby invites qualified firms in Nairobi, Kenya to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in the upcoming competitive bidding exercise for the Provision of Dry Cleaning and Laundry Services for United Nations Office at Nairobi.
The successful Contractor shall be required to provide Dry Cleaning and Laundry Services but not limited to the following items:
- Coats
- Jackets
- Table Cloths
- Suits
- Skirts
- Clinic white dresses and belts Trousers
- Ties
- Draw sheets
- Shirts
- Overalls
- Light Towels
- Blankets
- Curtains
- Face Towels
- Sheets
- Dustcoats
- Bath/Hand Towel
- Dressing Gowns
- Blouses
- Dressing Towels
UNON intends to contract a qualified firm for an initial period 3 years with an option to extend for two (2) additional consecutive periods of one year each , subject to satisfactory performance and related conditions.
Additional details, specifications and Terms of Reference shall be provided in the tender document to be issued subsequent to this EOI.
UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement of this EOI at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this REOI does not automatically guarantee your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. Only Vendors which in UN’s sole discrition are deemed eligible and qualified may receive the final tender solicitation documents.
Important:
Please note that this REOI is not an invitation for submission of tenders. Its purpose is to identify companies that would be interested and eligible to participate in the solicitation when issued. Companies interested in providing the above services should submit a completed Vendor Response Form. UNON will examine the outcome of this request for EOI and will consider those companies that have expressed their interest providing the required information as to their ability to fulfill the requirement. UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this request for EOI does not automatically guarantee award of contract.
Vendors MUST be registered in the United Nations Global Market Place (UNGM). Kindly refer to page 4 of the attached EOI for instructions on registering as a vendor with UNGM.
Vendors MUST confirm ability and intention to comply with the following requirements as a pre-condition for eligibility to be invited to participate in the tender process:
- Bidder must have dry-cleaning facilities in Nairobi City.
- Bidders company must be fully qualified and experienced (minimum 5 years) in providing services similar in scope and nature.
- The Bidder must have a vehicle for pick-ups and deliveries.
Interested Firms may express their interest to participate in the planned solicitation process by completing the Vendor Response Form in this EOI and submitting it, together with the evidence requested above to UNON through the email address: unon-procurement-rfx@un.org by 10 April 2020. All EOI submissions should bear the EOI Reference number and title in the subject line.
