Provision of Financial Consultancy Services: IFRS9 Impairment Model

Item Description:

By 2018, IFAD will have to implement IFRS9 – impairment section, which will require more stringent impairment measures on financial assets. Impairment represents a significant deterioration of the creditworthiness of issuers of financial instruments (bonds/ borrowers). It should be noted that IFRS9 section on classification and measurement has been already adopted by IFAD. IFAD is issuing this tender in order to select a vendor(s) to support and advise IFAD in the following tasks:
1. PHASE ONE: Examine existing data sources, users, and output requirements. Define and formalize (with supporting documentation), the policy, procedures and Impairment Model assumptions.
2. PHASE TWO: Develop and implement an IFRS9-compliant Impairment model specifically tailored for IFAD’s loan portfolio.
