Provision of International Mail Pick-up and Delivery Service from the UNHQ to the Destinations Worldwide

The United Nations, through the upcoming Request for Proposal, will seek to establish non- exclusive contract(s) with qualified vendor(s) registered with the UN Secretariat, for the provision of pick-up and delivery services of letters, books, printed material, small parcels, etc. from the United Nations Headquarters in New York to the international destinations worldwide.

The requirement includes the provision of the UN International First-Class and Second-Class Airmail, including, but not limited to:

• Pick-up service from the loading dock in the UN Headquarters in New York;
• Mail sorting service, by destination country, at Contractor’s facilities;
• Mail delivery to appropriate foreign postal systems for onward delivery to the recipients in 232 countries worldwide within the required transit time indicated below:

International 1st Class Airmail [Within 15 business days (Mandatory)]
International 2nd Class Airmail [Within 25 business days (Mandatory)]

• Returning undeliverable mail to the Mail Operations Unit of the United Nations;
• Provision of secured facility to safeguard the mail picked up from the UN;
• Performing post marking service on each mail piece;
• Provision of regular statistics/reports including origin, destination, total pieces, total weight, delivery time; or provision of such capability to generate reports directly from Contractor’s shipping system;
• Provision of a quality-assurance program to ensure high standards and quality service performance.
