Provision of On-site technical assistance services for the whole CPVO hardware and software fleet

Item Description:

The Community Plant Variety Office (hereinafter referred to as “CPVO”) is a decentralised body of the European Union (EU) based in Angers, France. Its mission is to manage the Community system of intellectual property protection for new plant varieties.

The structure of the CPVO, its tasks and main working methods are described in Council Regulation (EC) No 2100/94 of 27 July 1944 on Community plant variety rights.

The CPVO is planning to award a contract (s) resulting from the above mentioned procurement procedure. The procurement documents include the contract notice, the invitation letter, the draft framework contract and the tender specifications and their annexes. all documents are available in the attached ZIP File.

Purpose

The CPVO is planning to conclude a service contract with a specialised company in order to obtain technical assistance from experts on its entire hardware and software base.

The contract will have an initial duration of one year and may be renewed three times for periods of one year, i.e. a maximum of four years.

The tenderers undertake to supply the services described hereunder to the CPVO on the terms set out in this tender specification.

Object of the contract

The purpose of these specifications is, on the one hand, to provide candidates with instructions and guidance on the nature of the tender to be submitted and, on the other hand, to serve as a mandate for the contractor during the implementation of the project. The tender specifications make it possible to ensure that the contractor understands the nature of the services, that the work is carried out on time and that resources are not wasted. The specifications will form part of the contract which may be awarded following this call for tenders.

This call for tenders will result in the conclusion of a service contract.
