Provision of Prefabricated Steel Bridge

Vendor shall deliver a product familiarization course which will focus on providing hands on training to MONUSCO staff regarding the installation, disassembling, re-packaging and maintenance of the items supplied under the resulting Contract.

The requested Bridge(s) shall be a prefabricated steel structure (e.g. through-type truss bridge), composed by the following main elements:

1. Longitudinal trusses composed by modular steel panels pinned end to end
2. Transversal girders spanning between the longitudinal trusses
3. Steel lane decked roadway (single lane) on top of the transversal girders

The initial duration of the contract shall be 1 (one) year. MONUSCO may exercise its option to extend the contract for two additional one (1) year periods (1+1+1), subject to satisfactory performance of the Vendor, availability of funds and extension of the Mission mandate

MONUSCO will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly and accordingly, intends to issue a request for proposal to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information demonstrating their ability to fulfill MONUSCO requirements. In addition, the interested companies will be required to complete UN Vendor registration for level 2 on the UN vendor database accessible at http://www.ungm.org

The EOI should specify brief relevant information about the company including the company’s profile, capacity/capability and experience. Vendors will be shortlisted based on their ability to provide the relevant documents showing that they are able to meet the requirement. Interested vendors must provide the following documents with their response.

MONUSCO reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and submission of an EOI would not automatically warrant receipt of the solicitation documents. MONUSCO reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the deadline indicated below.
