Provision of Print Equipment and Associated Services

Item Description:

The General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union is planning to award the contract resulting from the above procurement procedure. The procurement documents consist of the contract notice, the invitation letter, the draft contract(s) and tender specifications with their annexes.

The General Secretariat, hereinafter referred to as ‘contracting authority’ (“CA”) intends to purchase printing devices and maintenance services in two lots, in accordance with the tender specifications and the provisions set out in the attached annexes. The above activities will be mainly provided in the CA’s premises situated in Brussels (Belgium) and to a very limited extent in Strasbourg (estimated 2 printing devices for Lot 1) and Luxembourg (estimated 9 printing devices for Lot 1 and 3 printing devices for Lot 2). This estimation is purely indicative without any impact of the proposed bidder’s price.

The contracts to be concluded (one for each lot) will replace similar contracts currently in force, which are about to expire, while the equipment is gradually reaching the end of its estimated operational lifespan.

Tenderers may submit a tender for one or two lots. For each lot, only one (1) proposal is permitted.

LOT 1: Office printing

• Category 1: A4 B&W printer with a minimum recto speed of 40 ppm
• Category 2: A3 colour printer with a minimum recto speed of 40 ppm
• Category 3: A3 colour Multi Functional Printer (MFP) with a minimum recto speed of 30 ppm
• Category 4: A3 colour Multi Functional Printer (MFP) with a minimum recto speed of 50 ppm

LOT 2: Production B&W printing

• Category 1: High-speed “Production” B&W MFP with a minimum recto speed of 120 ppm
• Category 2: Entry level “Production” B&W MFP with a minimum recto speed of 100 ppm
