Item Description:
The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to provide the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) and the Common Procurement Activities Group (CPAG) with the latest knowledge of the market solutions related to the supply of environmentally friendly paper, taking into account long-term (3 years, plus 1, plus 1) availability of products.
The UNOG expects to follow this RFI with an Invitation to bid (ITB) for the purchase of environmentally- friendly paper that will be able to meet the operational requirements of UNOG and the CPAG members. The information gathered from this RFI will be used to determine the feasibility, scope, timeframe and resources required by UNOG.
The major requirements which must be demonstrated in the response to this RFI are as follows:
- Ability to supply various categories of recycled paper for printing on offset, colour-digital and black and white-digital machines.
We require two types of paper: offset/non-coated and matt-coated.
- The paper will range from 80 to 250gms in weight
- The paper will range from A4 to 64cm x 46cm format.
- The annual amount of A4 paper would be approximately 80 million sheets.
- The annual amount of 64cm x 46cm would be approximately 4.5 million sheets
Responses to this RFI should not exceed 25 pages. Please ensure any materials provided in support of this are tailored to the requirements described and not generic to other services you may provide.

Responses will not be treated as proposals, but may be used to create any subsequent Invitation to Bid (ITB). Respondents should clearly mark any proprietary information submitted in response to this RFI.
Upon receipt of responses to this RFI, UNOG may request vendors to demonstrate their products/solutions. Demonstrations will be intended to provide information to UNOG and will not be subject to an evaluation. UNOG will not be responsible for any costs incurred by the vendors related to the response to this RFI or any other activities related to preparing, conducting, or travelling to or from the demonstration’s location.
