Item Description:

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) was created by the United Nations General Assembly on 11 December 1946, to provide emergency food and healthcare to children in countries that had been devastated by World War II. In 1950, UNICEF’s mandate was extended to address the long-term needs of children and women in developing countries everywhere. In 1953 it became a permanent part of the United Nations System, and the words “international” and “emergency” were dropped from the organization’s name, making it simply the United Nations Children’s Fund, retaining the original acronym, “UNICEF”.

Objective of this tender

UNICEF, Lucknow Office, had established Long Term Arrangements (LTAs) with Printers ongoing need for high quality printing services for a range of material including reports, booklets, banners, brochures, infographics, posters and other items against requirements of the office. This arrangement is to carry out bulk printing comprising documents/reports etc. including spiral binding depending on the need.

LITB 9152286 – Establishment of Print LTA 

CLOSING DATE: 17/10/2019 AT 1200 HOURS IST

1. Purpose

1.1 The purpose of this Invitation to Bid for Print LTA (“LITB”) is to invite proposals for “Establishing LTA printers for UNICEF Lucknow Office”

2. Pre-bid meeting / Conference

2.1 Please note that a pre-bid meeting will not be held.  In case there are any queries/clarifications on the LITB, kindly send them (mentioning page number, section and para number) to Rohit Bhattacharya by email at rbhattacharya@unicef.org  latest by 08th October 2019  at 1730 hours IST.

2.2 The questions and responses will be subsequently posted on UNGM website (www.ungm.org) under the same RFP by 09th October 2019 under “Documents”.

3. SUBMISSION DEADLINE AND PROPOSAL OPENING

3.1 The deadline for submission of proposals is as follows: 17th October , 2019, Thursday – 1200 Hours. Emailed bids must be sent exclusively to rbhattacharya@unicef.org [rbhattacharya@unicef(dot)org] in a non-editable format (viz. PDF), clearly marked with the tender number LITB 9152286  inthe subject line and emailed to arrive NO LATER than 17th October , 2019 at 1200 hours (Noon) IST.  No other recipient should be “Cc” or “Bcc” in the e-mail submission. Bids should not be sent to the Procurement Associate/Procurement Specialist who signed the ITB or any other UNICEF employee as it will be invalidated.  Bidders are advised to ensure that submissions are made well in advance before the closing time.  Late bids and those bids which do not comply with the bidding instructions will not be accepted. Bids received in any other manner will be INVALIDATED.

3.2 Supplier will submit the proposals electronically at ind.bids@unicef.org in the following manner:

• Annex 1 
• Annex 2
• Services Form to be signed and sent along with the technical proposal for acceptance of GTCs.

NOTE: THE FINANCIAL PROPOSAL SHOULD BE PASSWORD PROTECTED. PLEASE DO NOT SHARE THE PASSWORD WITH ANYONE UNLESS AND UNTIL ASKED THROUGH AN OFFICIAL COMMUNICATION.
