Item Description:
The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) located in Brindisi (Italy) seeks appropriately qualified contractor(s) for the establishment of a long-term contract for the provision of technical services and original equipment manufacturer spare parts for various brands of forklifts on an “as and when required” basis, following the equipment manufacturers’ specifications and standards.
The services shall include but are not limited to the following activities:
- The provision of technical services for inspections, maintenance, and repairs following the Manufacturers’ standards and specifications. The contractor shall be responsible for providing all the necessary tools, equipment, and related technical diagnostic equipment to undertake the required services.
- Supply and delivery of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts and related accessories to carry out the services.
The services shall be performed at the UNGSC’s premises or the contractor’s premises. In the latter circumstance, the UNGSC will be responsible for the movement of the equipment to and from the contractor’s premises.
The UNGSC Forklift fleet consists of various brands and types, from light to heavy equipment, and two types of power systems, diesel and electrical, as summarized below:
- 1x Lugli 20R, Electric
- 5x OM Pimespo Thesi B2, Electric
- 1x Toyota 7FD3, 3-ton diesel Counterbalance
- 1x Kalmar DCE 150-12, 15-ton
- 2x Fantuzzi/Terex FDC 150, 15-ton
- 1x Kalmar RT 250, 25-ton Rough Terrain Container Handler • 2x GS Skyjack, battery-operated, Access Platform
- 1x Bolzoni, battery-operated, Access Platform
Contract Term: The contract term shall be for an initial period of three (3) years, with the UNGSC’s sole option to extend the duration of the contract for two (2) additional periods of one (1) year each, subject to the satisfactory performance of the contractor.
The full details and technical requirements will be provided through a formal solicitation document, which will be issued at a later stage soon after the closing date for this EOI.
For the Expression of Interest to be considered, the company must be registered with the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) by visiting the website: http://www.ungm.org.
To be considered for an award a contract, the Vendor must be registered with the UN Secretariat through the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) for the required Level of Registration, which is “Level 1”, by the time of finalization of the bid evaluation.
Non-European Union (EU) companies participating in the tenders for UNGSC requirements with goods/services delivery to Brindisi (Italy) shall be duly registered and or in possession of all the requisite documentation, certificates and permits as required to do business in the member countries of the EU. Pertinent requirements may be further stipulated in the tender documentation.
