Rehabilitation and Upgrading of R1251 Road Portion of 35 km between Roma and Nambungale Lot A Phase II in Cabo Delgado Province

This Invitation for Bids (IFB) follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this Project that appeared in the United Nations Development Business dated 27 February 2020 and in the local newspaper “JornalNotícias” dated 10th of March 2020 for the Road R1251 portion of 35 Km between Roma and Nambungale, which is part of Mueda-Negomano Project.

The Republic of Mozambique (hereinafter called “Borrower”) has received financing from the African Development Bank Group (the “Bank”) toward the cost forthe execution of Works concerning the Rehabilitation and Upgrading of R1251 Road Portion of 35 km between Roma and Nambungale Lot A Phase II in Cabo Delgado Province OCBI No: 11/DIPRO- ANE/313/2020. The National Roads Administration, as Administração Nacional de Estradas I.P. – ANE, I.P asimplementing agency, intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this loan to eligible payments under the contract for which this Request for Proposals is issued. For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the “Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines and procedures for Investment Project Financing.”

The National Roads Administration, as Administração Nacional de Estradas I.P. (ANE, I.P.) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the execution of Works concerning the Rehabilitation and Upgrading of R1251 Road Portion of 35 km between ROMA and NAMBUNGALE Lot A Phase II in Cabo Delgado Province to be executed within a period of 24 months starting from the Commencement Date.
