Sector Road Map, Knowledge Products and Regional Integrated Urban Plans

Item Description:

The assignment will aim to deliver the following outputs under the technical assistance:

1. Sector Road Map which will consist of six background papers and will assist the government in decisions related to higher order planning. Thematic areas that will be covered in the papers will include poverty, gender, inequality and participation of small and medium enterprises.
2. Three knowledge products that will document the innovative aspects of the technical assistance, particularly gender mainstreaming and urban climate change resilience.
3. Regional Integrated Urban Plans which are strategic documents that will include a vision and
business case for the region, identify key characteristics of areas/cities within the region,
include priority subsectors, propose a regionwide urban investment plan including financial models, and propose institutional arrangements for project implementation.
4. Accreditation training pilot that will help with the identification of the capacity building
program for the proposed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Intermediate Cities Investment Program, improve project preparedness and test the scope for reforms.
