Service Contract for Mapping of Fiscal Measures and Pricing Policies Applied to Food, Non-alcoholic and Alcoholic Beverages

Item Description:

The Consumers, Health, Agriculture and Food Executive Agency (referred to below as the contracting authority), under the powers delegated to it by the European Commission is planning to award the contract resulting from the above procurement procedure. The procurement documents consist of the contract notice, the invitation letter, the tender specifications with their annexes and the draft contract. All documents are enclosed in the attached ZIP File.

The purpose of this contract is to provide a complete mapping (state-of-play) of the existing pricing policies and fiscal measures aiming to reduce the consumption of alcohol and of the products high in fat, sugar and salt(including non-alcoholic beverages) in the countries participating in the EU Health Programme and 3 other countries (Australia, Chile and the United States). Best practices will be identified and discussed in 9 case studies to support those EU Member States (MS) considering the introduction of pricing policies and fiscal measures and to help them set up an effective approach.
