Item Description:
Invitation for Bids (IFB)
The Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, Government of the Republic of Zimbabwe has received financing from the Zimbabwe Multi-Donor Trust Fund (Zim-Fund) administered by the African Development Bank hereinafter called the Bank toward the cost of the Urgent Water Supply and Sanitation Rehabilitation Project -Consolidation Works, Goods and Services, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the supply of GRP pipes and fittings. For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines and procedures for Investment Project Financing.
Crown Agents now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the supply of:
- Item 1: Pipes, 300mm GRP PN-Gravity = Quantity 4148m
- Item 2: Pipes, 400mm GRP PN -Gravity = Quantity 468m
- Item 3: Pipes, 450mm GRP PN -Gravity = Quantity 2916m
- Item 4: Pipes, 600mm GRP PN-Gravity = Quantity 2580m
- Item 5: Pipes, 800mm GRP PN-Gravity = Quantity 780m
- Item 6: 300x300x160 GRP Tee with coupling for DN160 PVC pipe = Quantity 9
Supply of GRP Pipes and Fittings Republic of Zimbabwe, within 14 weeks. There is no margin of preference.
Bidding will be conducted through the Open Competitive Bidding (International), (OCBI) method as specified in the Bank’s Procurement Framework dated 14 October 2015, and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Framework.
The bidding document in English may be obtained free of charge by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to zimfundpa@crownagents.co.uk The bidding document will only be available electronically.
Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 13:00 hours (Zimbabwe time) on 2 March 2021. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 13:30 hours (Zimbabwe time) on 2 March 2021.
All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of twenty thousand United States Dollars (USD20,000.00).
Attention is drawn to the Procurement Framework requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
