Item Description:

The World Food Programme (WFP) is the food-assistance branch of the United Nations and the world’s largest humanitarian organization addressing hunger and promoting food security. The WFP is the leading humanitarian organization fighting hunger worldwide, delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience. Assisting 91.4 million people in around 83 countries each year, the WFP is the leading humanitarian organization saving lives and changing lives.

With more than 18,000 employees geographically dispersed, often working in remote locations, WFP is interested in profiling its users according to their roles, responsibilities and the activities they perform daily. To enable this change, WFP is soliciting expressions of interest from qualified companies with previous expertise in the supply of IT, Biometric Equipment and related services. Participants should meet the following criteria:

Participant’s Features:

• Have a previous, proven track record in the delivery of biometric devices;
• Have a previous, proven track record in the delivery of IT equipment;
• Have a previous, proven track of shipping (including insurance) service.

Response

In order to participate in the pre-selection exercise, companies are required to provide the following:

• Confirmation of interest in being considered for the delivery of the above items;
• Company description and brief summary of experience in the required business (max 1 page);
• No financial proposal is required at this stage.

Upon receipt of a positive response, WFP may proceed with the next steps to engage a vendor.
