Item Description:
General Features: The required facility shall meet the following main parameters:
- Rapid deployment
- Modular design to allow scalability, starting from the 200 Person camps sizes as a baseline,
- Easy installation
- Suitable for critical harsh environmental conditions and for different climate zones (e.g. desert, tropical country, mountain, etc.).
- Wash and dry performance: minimum 5 kg/person/week, maximum 7 kg/person/week
- Washing machines ratio: 1/30 persons* (including all connectors and considering a minimum space requirement of 1 m2).
- Dryers ratio: 1/30 persons* (including all connectors and considering a minimum space requirement of 1 m2).
- Automatic and manual control.
- Washing machines shall be water efficient, consumption not exceeding 6 litres per kilogram
- Washing capacity minimum 10 kg.
- Washing/dryers machines shall be energy efficient with European A++ ratings or equivalent, water demand efficiency and recycling.
- The laundry shall accommodate and facilitate all the following operations: washing, drying, ironing (proportionate to the washing/drying capacity), folding shelf, utility sink for soaking/hand washing, as a minimum.
- The units should meet appropriate plumbing requirements for floor drainage, washer piping and washer drainage.
- The dryer /venting exhaust systems should be of international design practices.
- The Units designs should have a low /reduced risk of fire, the dryer must use heavy metal vents instead of plastic vents
- The laundry shall include commercial washer standards for all fixtures and fittings pre-assembled, pre-installed and pre-secured with proper packaging to withstand multiple trans-shipments, storage, deployment and re-deployment operations
- Ready to be connected to water and power supply and sewerage facilities (maximum distance from the energy supply point of 150 meters)
- The electrical installations ,wiring and receptacles should conform to international codes and regulations.
- Suitable to be transported via road, air (via helicopters or air-cargoes, e.g. MI8 or C130) and sea either by 20’ISO shipping containers or by aircraft pallets.
- Besides provisions and installations of equipment, the provider of the facility and equipment should provide training and spare parts during and post contract period.
Output:
Vendors are invited to provide evidence/technical information as minimum about the data highlighted in the above paragraphs 2 and the price range of the proposed items.
