The Mission of the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR) is to take forward the EU’s neighbourhood and enlargement policies, as well as coordinating relations with EEA-EFTA countries insofar as Commission policies are concerned. DG NEAR works closely with the European External Action Service and the line DGs in charge of thematic priorities.

By implementing assistance actions in Europe’s eastern and southern neighbourhood, DG NEAR supports reform and democratic consolidation, and strengthens the prosperity, stability and security around Europe. DG NEAR helps to promote EU values, policies and interests in this region, and to contribute to developing the special relationship of the EU with its neighbouring countries.

Purpose of this contract

The subject of the contract is the supply, delivery, unloading, storage, testing and inspection (quantity and quality control of the vaccines), transport and aerial distribution (on the whole territory of the Republic of North Macedonia) of vaccines for oral vaccination of wild animals against rabies and obtaining of all necessary permits and licences in regards to this contract. The areal distribution will be performed in one campaign in autumn 2021.The territory for vaccination shall be the whole territory of the Beneficiary country excluding water surfaces and dense urban settlements, which has been evaluated to about 25 000 km2. The vaccine bait density will be 20 baits per 1 km2.
