Turn Key Project for the Electrical Connection of the Diesel Uninterrupted Power Supply System (DUPS) to the Electrical Network (Administrative Side) at UNGSC at Brindisi, Italy

The United Nations Global Service Centre, Brindisi (UNGSC) seeks an appropriately qualified contractor for a turn-key project to prepare the executive design and carry out the electrical works for the connection of the Diesel Uninterrupted Power Supply System (DUPS) to the electrical network on the administrative side of the UNGSC compound. The aim of the project is to provide an electrical backup in case of power failure to all strategic UNGSC facilities.

The requirement includes the following:

1. Civil works

• Contractor’s safety plan (POS);
• Executive architectural and structural design;
• Site preparation and mobilization;
• Underground ducting;
• Construction of electrical substation in compliance with CEI 0-16;
• Disposal of all construction debris;
• Sites cleaning;
• Final structural test (“Collaudo statico”).

2. Electrical works

• Contractor’s safety plan (POS);
• Executive electrical design;
• All-inclusive maintenance plan in accordance with CEI 78-17;
• Provision, assembling and installation of medium tension electrical switchgear in compliance with CEI 0-16 (as per ‘QMT – 144’ switchgear on the drawings);
• Provision and installation of a medium tension single conductor for the electrical connection of 1,2mw substation to the 144 substation;
• Provision and installation of pilot cable (cavo pilota);
• Provision, assembling and installation of medium tension electrical switchgear in compliance with CEI 0-16 (as per ‘QMT – 114b’ switchgear on the drawings);
• Provision and installation of resin insulated transformer, rated power 800 kVA
• Provision and installation of main cabin switchboard (as per ‘QBT – 114b’ switchgear on the drawings).
• Certificate of Conformity and Selectivity study, and eventual calibration of all substations & relevant equipment.

Splitting of award between Civil works and Electrical works shall be allowed.
