Item Description:
The United Nations is seeking expressions of interest for the rental of Heavy Engineering Equipment (HEE) equipment in support of the UN’s Triangular Partnership Project for African Rapid Deployment of Engineering Capabilities. The HEE must be of high quality, robust, easy to maintain, suitable for use in Africa. The equipment to be rented may include but is not limited to the following:
- Motor Grader
- Hydraulic Excavator and attachments including Rock Breaker, Hydraulic Vibratory Hammer, Slope
Bucket, Hydraulic Steel Cutter/Shear, Skeleton Bucket, Rotary Bush Cutter, Demolition and Sorting Grapple.
- Bucket Loader
- Crawler Bulldozer
- Dump Truck
- Self-propelled Vibratory Roller Soil Compactor
- Truck Tractor
- Lowbed Semi-Trailer
If selected for award, the rented HEE shall be delivered to a designated UN training location in Nairobi, Kenya. The successful contractor will also be required to provide or assist with training on the equipment supplied and also carry out maintenance and repair of the equipment during the rental period.
Details on the technical specifications, quantities and after-sale support requirements shall be provided to vendors in the solicitation document.
Interested companies should fill out the Vendor Response Form provided on page 3 of this EOI and return by email to Ms. Wansun Sun Chung at wansun.chung2@un.org together with the following information:
(a) List of HEE that the vendor can provide on a rental basis;
(b) Confirmation that the vendor can deliver the HEE in any location in Nairobi, Kenya;
(c) Confirmation that the vendor can provide equipment operation and maintanance manuals in both English and Japanese upon delivery of the offered equipment.
The UN reserves the right to reject expression of interest (EOI) that are incomplete or doesn’t meet the requirements mentioned above. Submission of EOI, therefore, do not carry any expectation or imply any right to participate in the planned tender.
