Item Description:
The European Organization for Nuclear Research, known as CERN, intends to place a five-year frame contract for the supply of about 800 sputter ion pumps and 400 4UHV controllers for the beam vacuum of its accelerators. The pumping speeds shall be between 20l/s and 500 l/s and the mean beam vacuum pressure between 5.10-11 mbar and 5.10-8 mbar, achievable by a combination of sputter ion pumps and non-evaporable getter (NEG) pumps.
Interested firms shall have a proven experience and competence in ultra-high vacuum technology and in the production of sputter ion pumps.
